And thus Automated Voice and Text to Speech phone calls are effective for grabbing attention. Phone calls are more urgent than email, as they are <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/emailtovoice.net\/best-way-to-get-an-emergency-alert-delivered-and-recognized\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">loud and rare<\/a>. Automated calls can be made simultaneously, where we send to all recipients at the same time. We now provide automated voice escalation of unanswered phone calls, one after the other, without code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main purpose of an escalation phone call function, is to find a recipient who can act on the message. If they don\u2019t listen to the message or do not reply in the positive, then we call the second contact. And that continues until someone listens to the message or alternately, replies to accept the offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To use this feature, you setup a new list (or edit an old one) in the WEL customer portal and select the box \u201c<strong>This list is an escalation list<\/strong>\u201d. The escalation list is then noted as such with an &#8220;(e)&#8221; in the list type field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"742\" height=\"526\" src=\"https:\/\/welcorp.com\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-3.png\" alt=\"An image of WelCorp's messaging list where you can perform required maintenance\" class=\"wp-image-802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/welcorp.com\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-3.png 742w, https:\/\/welcorp.com\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-3-300x213.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">An image of WelCorp&#8217;s messaging list where you can perform required maintenance<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You then send your TTS message using this list as you normally do: through the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.welcorp.com\/monthlyaccount.asp?DistID=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">portal<\/a>, as an <a href=\"https:\/\/welcorp.com\/public\/email-to-voice-or-sms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">email-to-broadcast<\/a>, or through the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.welcorp.com\/help.asp?SessionID=&amp;DistID=1&amp;T=45\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">API interface<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you are sending through email-to-broadcast, send to dmy@tts.message-service.org, and in the body of your message, include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&lt;Lists&gt;<br>*My New Escalation List Name* (replace with your list name obviously)<br>&lt;\/Lists&gt;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Embedded DTMF tone and Voicemail recognition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the TTS is a one-way (with no key press reply expected), then the message has to be picked up (not by voice mail) and listened to for at least 10 seconds, otherwise the next recipient in the list is called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once someone listens to the message for the required length of time, the job stops there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you send a two-way TTS, the recipient must push \u201c1\u201d to accept the message, otherwise the next recipient in the list is called.
