1-Way vs 2-Way SMS

1-way SMS is broadcast-only — recipients cannot reply. You can use an alphabetical sender ID (your brand name) as the sender.

2-way SMS allows recipients to reply. WEL receives and processes replies, which can be forwarded to email, pushed to a URL, or retrieved via the WEL API.

Personalisation

Include %%ColumnName%% merge fields from your broadcast list in your message. They are replaced with each recipient’s actual data at send time.
